Austin, called Voidweaver, is an eighth-level Great Wizard who posts a private bounty for a thousand elite combat units to deal with a law anomaly in a plane he is conquering.²¹⁰ His stated problem is that Stranges have seeped into his back garden, the Miniature Glass Garden plane; the truth, broadcast plane-wide, is that he is fusing most of the Strange plane's Stranges into his own life form and the hired wizards are stabilizers for his weak period.³⁸¹⁰ He completes the fusion, sends the wizards out and seals the plane.¹⁰

Austin appears as a slender middle-aged man with meticulously combed silver-gray hair, very pale blue eyes and an undecorated deep gray robe; his presence is undetectable, which marks him as a projection or clone.³ He tends the Miniature Glass Garden plane, where ordinary people live at peace, and during a plane conquest once let a Strange's rule phenomenon seep into it.⁴⁷ His true body was never in that private plane but in the Strange plane's origin, where he spent untold years bringing the whole Strange network under control.⁸
