Arcs

A. The Flame-Frost Plane war (Ch201-216)

  • Jie Ming settles his snow-monster-core windfall, and Augustine, a sixth-level commander, leaves to fetch 30,000 reinforcements.1
  • Plane repulsion kicks in, and the plane's wildlife attacks first.1
  • Jie Ming witnesses a time pause wipe out a frontline node, then flees by light transformation and crashes into the camp's array to deliver the intelligence.2
  • A beast-tide battle is fought at the nodes.3
  • In the eight-part sequence "Wrath of Flame and Frost", the two monster races' time fields collide and the Flame-Frost Plane reveals itself to be a living plane.4
  • Augustine returns steering the ship-plane, and the two planes duel.4
  • Viola, Senior Sister of the Law of Pain, uses the plane's agony to leap from third to sixth level.4
  • Jie Ming secretly triggers his sealed Sea of Yin Baleful Qi inside the plane's core, which lets Augustine's main cannon cripple and seal it.4
  • In the aftermath, high-level wizards arrive to study the living plane, and Mentor Clark hauls Viola back as his indentured workhorse, telling Jie Ming the debt can wait.5

B. Return, territory upheaval and second-level advancement (Ch217-227)

  • Fifty years pass, and Jie Ming leaves the Flame-Frost Plane and sells his haul for only about 200k merit.6
  • A teleport malfunction drops him 300 km from his Golden Garden on Elosia.6
  • His territory's servants have formed a kingdom under Otto, and the elves have forgotten him.7
  • He reasserts control with thunderbolt measures and commissions Noren Academy to modify the natives.7
  • He advances to second-level wizard, his Ring of Truth expands, and his Alchemy Technique now works on organic matter.8
  • He repays his debt to Master Roland of the Tower of Annihilation by studying spatial gap knowledge, and David Colmar is back and also second-level.9
  • He plans to upgrade the lava giant race from the incubation pool and sells most of his territory to the academy.10
  • News arrives that Amy and Victor are dead, and Clark and Viola console Jie Ming in wizard fashion.11

C. The Sage hunt and the Demon God of Destruction (Ch228-236)

  • Unable to focus, Jie Ming takes a kill mission with David against an illegal wizard who is the remnant soul of Elosia's old Sage.12
  • The two pursue the Sage for two years through infected pseudo-wizards to an island, where the Sage turns out to be third-level.13
  • The Sage summons an eighth-level Demon God of Destruction from another plane.14
  • Dean Avery Knight, a seventh-level wizard, and a crowd of wizards were lying in wait.14
  • The Demon God self-destructs crying "protect my world!" and the gate collapses, but the dean fishes out eighth-level fragments and the plane's coordinates.14
  • The reward is a single-law plane origin, and both Jie Ming and David choose the Four Elements origin.15
  • The dean promises delivery in a dozen years or so.15

D. Black Giant R&D and the Self-Stabilizing Field fortune (Ch237-244)

  • The dean sends a Water Element origin as a deposit before leaving to conquer the Demon God's plane, and Jie Ming absorbs it and gains the final step of the lava-giant plan.16
  • Fifty years later, the cores are fusing, and Viola arrives wrecked from Clark's lab as a sixth-level wizard.17
  • Two years later, on the Infernal Sulfur Plane, the modified creature is named Codename: Black Giant.18
  • Viola tells Jie Ming to sell technology, and he packages the Self-Stabilizing Field Regulation Protocol, which the AI Felix gets officially promoted.19
  • Clark warns that Jie Ming's 200-year rest period is nearly up and that mandatory conscription follows.19
  • The seventh-level large-scale elemental pool is delivered, to be installed later, and five Black Giants are ready.20
  • Master Roland buys the professional edition of the protocol.20
  • Jie Ming re-registers at the Junction for the next plane war.20

E. The Void Plane expedition under Dionysius Spencer (Ch245-267)

  • At the Junction, Jie Ming meets Senior Jack's old logistics squad from his enrollment day.21
  • More than 100,000 wizards assemble, and the seventh-level Dionysius Spencer commands alone with no faction overseers, which is an anomaly.21
  • The Void Plane has no gravity, is poor in earth element and has no sixth-level natives, and the Black Giants cannot fly there.22
  • During a mandatory mapping mission, a spatial-talent spider-snake ambushes Jie Ming and he captures it.23
  • Jie Ming buys hundreds of spider-snakes at the Floating Camp and rents a warehouse, and Jack recruits him for a rescue in a spatial distortion zone.24
  • In the inverted-gravity distortion zone, a fur-ball curse swarm attacks and a recruit dies.25
  • Jack and the third-level Levin Mills lure the recruits to a knockoff fourth-level wizard who has been force-feeding on single-source plane origin.26
  • Jie Ming's Grand Radiance turns the battle, and he kills Levin Mills hand-to-hand and destroys his soul.26
  • Dionysius Spencer receives Jie Ming personally and awards him 85% of the proceeds plus twenty strands of wind-element origin, and lets slip that the Void Plane is an appetizer.27
  • After a thirty-year skip, the plane is being strip-mined, and in the Eye of the Storm Jie Ming finds a hidden, artificial kilometer-wide spatial rift.28

F. The Sacred Continent war and the white mist (Ch268-276)

  • Dionysius flattens the distortion zone and orders a Mandatory Mission to hold the far side of the gate.29
  • The natives are the Holy Servants, mantis-lizard creatures led by four fifth-level Holy Gods.30
  • Jie Ming is first through the gate and holds the altar alone until the legion arrives.30
  • Dionysius scans the plane with the order "kill them all," and the gods are captured.30
  • After his first merit and fifty years of standard conquest, Jie Ming notices that something is not right about the Void Giant Fish and the white mist.31
  • A cognition-blocking force surrounds the mist, and Dionysius grudgingly lets Jie Ming collect it.32
  • From Dionysius's point of view, the mist is the shattered World Lord of the Sacred Continent fused with the Void Plane's lord, a frozen half-step eighth-level specimen that was the true purpose of the expedition.33
  • Dionysius reports the suspicious four alien worlds to the Star Ring Federation.33
  • Jie Ming quietly leaves for home after more than eighty years away, with a daunting to-do list.33

G. Golden Core and home consolidation (Ch277-280)

  • Jie Ming names the white mist in his heart loneliness and condenses his Golden Core without the potion, and his internal space begins expanding.34
  • A test strike reaches third-level, city-destroying power.35
  • The Void Plane biological samples arrive, and he sets his research objectives.36
  • After fifty years of dissection, Dean Avery Knight returns from the Demon God's plane with a dozen eighth-level specimens.37
  • The dean invites Jie Ming to teach at Noren Academy No. 147 on Elosia, which doubles his rest period to 400 years.37
  • The remaining nine origin strands arrive, making 29 in total.37

H. Teaching era at Noren Academy No. 147 (Ch281-291)

  • Viola, now solidly sixth-level, pranks Jie Ming into visiting Clark, who has a new child disciple named Reincarnation.38
  • Clark's parting words are "At the new academy, a smooth start to you."38
  • Ten years later the academy opens with almost no students and none for alchemy, and Jie Ming is drafted into the Elosia plane-cluster integration project.39
  • Jie Ming buys a sixth-level-stabilized automated factory and stores it in his dantian space.40
  • He discovers that his internal space is eating his plane origin and decides to keep feeding it.40
  • The seventh-level elemental pool goes live, producing one Black Giant per year.41
  • The Black Giant self-destruct and rebirth system is introduced in "Explosion Is Art".42
  • Anita Chack, his first and only student, is uninterested and fails the graduation trial, and she is shipped to the front.43
  • The Five Aggregates Rainbow Mirror reaches its Second Turn, which doubles his light transformation.43
  • Anita's death notice arrives, followed by a 300-year skip and the Prowler living-missile air unit.44

I. The Triad Plane Cluster war (Ch292-300)

  • The Nest naval platform completes Jie Ming's land, sea and air cannon-fodder trinity, and he hands over his academy post and reports to the Junction.45
  • A million wizards assemble at the Junction.45
  • The briefing names the Triad Plane Cluster (Giant Spirit Realm, Mind Realm and Proliferation Realm, each with an eighth-level World Lord) with the directive of total destruction.46
  • In a void battle against the Giant Spirit Realm fleet, Prowlers hit the motherships.47
  • 500 Black Giants, including two fifth-level, self-destruct to tear the line.47
  • Balsa, called Starbreaker and a sixth-level wizard, rips the plane barrier.47
  • Balsa is wedged in the healing rift, and six sixth-level wizards squeeze in.48
  • Dixon, a seventh-level wizard of the fate discipline, stabilizes the passage, and the Giant Spirit seventh-levels are captured.48
  • Fortresses descend, and dozens of Giant Spirit God-Kings demand surrender in Korg's name.49
  • Dixon answers with the order "Annihilate them."49
