First mention Ch1841

The law of displacement, folding, lockdown and cutting; a common law like the flame law, useful enough that every wizard understands it to some degree.131112 Its leading masters are Savien, Bastian and Morna of the spatial school, and it is Jie Ming's deepest law.1314

What is known

  • Expression: Silver-white power; a disposable Space Leap artifact condenses it for a large instantaneous displacement.1
  • Pure spatial power ignores most energy and physical defenses and erodes flesh.2
  • Spatial folds outside an observer's spatial system can hide a creature; unfolding them produces spatial cutting.3
  • Lockdown: Laws laid in ambush freeze space and seal escape routes; a far more massive spatial law crushes teleportation runes.910
  • Threshold: Most wizards touch spatial knowledge only after the third level; weaker souls cannot detect spatial abilities.37
  • Origin: Free spatial-rule origin condenses in distortion zones; absorbing it forces advancement without matching knowledge.5
  • Hazards: Wind-rich planes hold spatial turbulence including looped regions with no exit; weak interference blocks activation and would turn a first-level user to paste.12
  • Gates: Runes of fate and space solidify a barrier rift into a permanent spatial gate.8
  • Void: Chaotic void coordinates stay in disorder, so teleportation needs a fixed array; the Great Void Step rides the void's own distortions instead.19
  • Mastery scale: Full mastery counts as one and a fresh sixth-level sits at about one; Jie Ming passes twenty, then thirty, then thirty-five.13151617

Wielders

The mutant spider-snake Ch251 Inborn spatial folding.3
A nameless fourth-level wizard Ch261 Crude use after forced advancement on origin.4
Levin Mills Ch263 Basic knowledge only.5
Dixon (uncertain) Ch299 Permanent spatial gate.8
Jie Ming Ch807 Chamber lockdown; mastery from twenty to thirty-five.101317
Savien, Bastian, Morna Ch823 Leading masters of the spatial school.14
Viola Ch953 Converges it to tear a passage to a chaotic void.20

Interactions

  • Wind element rule: The higher rule above it; space is one of the law systems covered by the wind element.618
  • Fate law: Runes of fate and space together solidify a spatial gate.8

Open questions

  • Whether Dixon and the unseen Void Plane creature are true wielders.28
