Founder of Noren Workshop and of Noren Academy No. 1, a top-level alchemist who came out of the alchemy discipline with strong runecraft, and one of the Workshop's two current eighth-level wizards alongside his disciple Anton Buchanan.4152324 A scholarly figure in a plain gray robe who looks about forty, he appears at the Workshop's crises: cleansing the Mycelord's contamination, holding the line against the Cult Leader and Annihilation, and destroying the Wonder's mechanical fleet.1131428 He encourages Jie Ming's Fictional Law path and reveals that fate itself is a successfully fabricated Fictional Law.911

Relationships

  • Anton Buchanan: Disciple and fellow eighth-level wizard; the two argue over who studies the Reflection Prism first.41517
  • His own mentor: Unnamed; the Fictional Law craze peaked in that mentor's era.11
  • Jie Ming: Hands him the Substitute Death Doll, escorts him home in secret and assigns him to the First Investigation Team.91625
  • Clark and Kastilla: Witnesses their wedding with Morin.22
  • Disciples: Several seventh-level wizards accompany him.4

Background

Creator of the Noren Workshop and a top-level alchemist, he founded Noren Academy No. 1 with his own hands when he established the Workshop; his runecraft is why every Workshop academy has an elite seventh-level array at its core.42324 He wears the Workshop's standard alchemical robe, or a linen robe with a wooden staff, scholarly and composed, and the ship-plane's elemental tides go calm when he appears.1316 He is skilled in the fate discipline as well and keeps his own puppet units, strange-shaped dolls each dangerous to Jie Ming.3031
