Jie Ming, a 4th-level wizard, has just opened his unread military-department directives in his Infernal Sulfur Plane lab and found one sent seven days earlier. It concerns a new mission.

Arcs

A. The Reincarnation Plane (time-loop war) (Ch401-437)

  • The 8th-level Great Wizard Altreus ("Starforger") recruits Jie Ming as an unconventional-battlefield talent for a plane war against the insectoid Sickle-Skull Clan.1
  • The Sickle-Skull plane resets time whenever their population falls below a threshold, and after 137 loops the enemy has memorized the wizards' every tactic.1
  • Jie Ming discovers that his inner world survives the resets, holding plaques and piles of recording crystals left by his earlier loop-selves.2
  • Under 7th-level commander Frost, he becomes the expedition's memory and intelligence hub and drives a research program of paradox experiments, the 0.3% constant decay and memory-anchoring tech across fifteen loops.2
  • Altreus reveals the war was a pressure test on a spacetime weapon and marks Jie Ming as bait, and the plane's hidden will abducts him into a time-branch temple.3
  • Jie Ming cracks the control sphere, exposes the true history of the Sickle-Skull "Isolationist Faction," and survives a "die together" trap by beating a mirror copy of himself.4
  • The loop is ended for good, and Ch436 reveals that the cosmic disaster that drove the civilization to build its time prison was the afterglow of a Star Ring Federation ninth-level's battle.5
  • A hundred-year epilogue tallies his gains, delivers Altreus's parting message, and teleports Jie Ming home to Noren Academy No. 147 during freshman enrollment.6

B. Interlude: home, training program (Ch438-439)

  • Back on the Infernal Sulfur Plane, Jie Ming designs "time-afterimage" sparring to accelerate the Body Forging Method.7
  • One year later the training works spectacularly, and he reasons out his future path toward the Void Refinement realm.8
  • He then turns to the cross-space energy transmission module of the Incense Fire Divine Dao.8

C. Starfall's Living Plane (Ch440-452)

  • Viola arrives agitated: Wizard Starfall's attempt to animate a resource plane, inspired by Jie Ming's Imaginary Element, has succeeded, and the plane is locked down and unstable.9
  • Five years later Jie Ming, Viola and Mentor Clark gather on a void warship over the Fallen Star Plane with Plane Binding and Extermination Devices.10
  • Clark enters the plane alone, and the plane awakens, its soul coalesces, and then it erupts in terror and destroys every array.11
  • Jie Ming's cultivator intuition correctly reads the eruption as fear, not malice.11
  • Inside, Starfall is alive but body-less, a soul.12
  • She proposes making the newborn plane a wizard, and the Star Ring Federation agrees and hands her the first-ever Level-One Cultivation Protocol.13
  • In Ch450, Clark announces that Noren Workshop will go to war with the Tower of Annihilation and the Chaos Secret Cult within eighty years, because Grand-Mentor Anton Buchanan became a second 8th-level.14
  • Starfall gifts Jie Ming the "Starfall Awakening Technique 1.0," and Clark stays as the living plane's first teacher.15

D. Eighty-year war preparation (Ch453-462)

  • Cross-space energy transmission passes its test at the Junction, with nearly ten years of the eighty-year preparation period already gone.16
  • Jie Ming chooses three Spirit Transformation techniques to rebuild as wizard artifacts: Return to Ruins Armor, Causal Trace Shadow Technique and Great Void Step.17
  • Imaginary Element sales fund the work.17
  • Jie Ming becomes a fifth-level wizard and theorizes that levels 3-6 are one realm.18
  • Return to Ruins Armor is modified over ten years, and a Mysterious Astral Mortal Dust Barrier upgrade using Incense Fire Poison is planned.19
  • Viola relays the war's terms: A Federation-built super-large dead plane, Noren outnumbered, and twenty-five years left.20
  • Fifteen years later, Jie Ming has mass-produced millions of Trigram Fire "ammunition" plates.21
  • He buys a 7th-level Anti-Magic Disk and orders the Black Giant army to muster for war.22

E. The Three-Faction Coordinated War (Ch463-500)

  • At a pre-war meeting, dean Avery Knight declares Noren at an absolute disadvantage and calls for stalling.23
  • In the first battle, Jie Ming is shot down on entry by an opening curse volley.24
  • Clark single-handedly holds more than 130 seventh-levels while the super-heavy element decomposition cannons fire.25
  • Clark erases the enemy commander Mordekian, the first 7th-level to fall, and Noren wins the first battle.26
  • Saladin ("Ashes") deduces that Noren's missing high-level wizards are deploying a hidden trump card, and both sides pour reconnaissance teams into the perimeter.27
  • On his first recon sortie, Jie Ming kills a 13-man fifth-level hunting team and several Tower wizards, and an enemy observer reports "a monster."28
  • On a deep reconnaissance run, Jie Ming is spotted and chased by 6th-level pursuers.29
  • He kills the last pursuer despite his heart, brain and most of his soul being destroyed, and collapses with 60% of his soul permanently lost and the Substitute Death Doll unfired.30
