Victor Raine is a senior lecturer of the Spirit Medium Association, a gentle, learned public figure whose tickets sell out, and in secret the hooded leader of the Strange cult and a researcher of Strange fusion.123 Facing the collapse of his fused subjects and the arrival of a Prophet, he fuses with the Blood Net, a Disaster Grade Strange, and dies to Jie Ming's punch after handing over his black notebook.357 His notes carry Jie Ming's Strange research very deep and are burned at the fissure with the words "rest in peace."910

Background

Victor Raine wears three gold collar bars as a specially appointed "Senior Lecturer" of the Association and lectures on Ghost Ship evolution, symbolism, and the hypothesis that Stranges are born from and feed on human intelligence.1 Decades of his own fusion research preceded the foundations he received from a wizard he was unaware of until the Blood Net changed his soul.6 His notebook argues that Stranges lock onto "humanity" itself, never animals or plants, and proposes "human liberation" through fusion.8
